FINALLY!!! A restaurant in my neighborhood that I can to with adults, with kids, on a GNO, or a date night. We live in the cutest neighborhood, but one thing it lacks is restaurants. This week we welcomed, and I mean with open arms, BRGR Kitchen+Bar into the hood, and let me tell you something....it's good.
From an aesthetic point, it's great looking; kind of industrial and warm all at the same time. When the weather is nice there are glass garage doors that will open, and a patio with a fireplace. On looks alone, this place gets an A.
We were there on kind of a sneak preview so we weren't able to try everything but what we had was very good. From burgers to build your own Mac n' Cheese (!), salads to your choice of skinny or fat fries, BRGR has a wonderful and extensive menu. We were also treated to the perfect dessert of Chocolate Chip Sliders - two chocolate chip cookies held together by ganache served with shot glass of milk...loved it! Loved it so much, I am stealing the idea for my next dinner party.
Prices were good, they have a full bar, wi-fi, a $5.00 kids menu, and a terrific sounding brunch. I can see BRGR becoming a favorite spot.
Times are tough, and I just want this new place to be around for a long time. If you live near Corinth Square in Prairie Village, KS, check them out - http://www.brgrkitchen.com or become a fan on facebook. I'll probably be there, eating skinny fries, well done.
