I am so excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. Julie from The Little Kitchen and Lindsay from Love and Olive Oil, organize this national cookie swap, and if I calculated right, approximately 22,000 cookies are crisscrossing the country. Besides being a lot of fun, each blogger donated a nominal fee and the money goes to Cookies For Kids Cancer. Additionally, OXO® will be matching our donation dollar for dollar up to $100,000!
The rules were simple. Make 3 dozen of a favorite cookie recipe, and send it to the bloggers on your list. I picked one of my favorite recipes, Martha Stewart's Rosemary Butter Cookie. (side note and mea culpa - when I mailed my cookies to Lauren of Keep It Sweet , Angie of Big Bear's Wife and Michelle of The Kid Can Cook, I wrote Rosemary Lemon Shortbread on the label. I was multi-tasking, and perhaps inventing a new recipe, but there is no lemon.) Anyway, I love this savory, salty, buttery cookie, and I thought it might be a good break from chocolate this time of year.
