Day 1 - Well, I didn't chew my arm off.
I have to say, it went really well. The juices tasted great, and I only got a little hungry. Very do-able.
Here is what I ate; I mean drank.
2 Green juices made from kale, spinach, cucumber, lemon, apple and parsley
3 Fruit Juices - watermelon lime mint, carrot apple ginger and pineapple mint
1 Cashew Nut Milk - my favorite.
My first impression is juicing is like breast feeding. As soon as you do it and clean up, you have to do it again! Also, we have a business, and you are supposed to drink the juice right after you make it, so that was a little challenging, but we managed. I can see how ordering the juices would be easier, but it will also set you back some bucks.
I got pretty hungry at lunch, and thought a piece of turkey sounded really good. I also had to refrain from taking a bite of my daughter's mac n' cheese when i was making it. Part of it was habit, and part of it was that the Trader Joe's mac n' cheese looked like the finest Italian food. Guess your brain has a way of playing tricks on you while juicing. I wasn't even able to finish drinking my third fruit juice, because I was so full, but my daughter and friend happily finished the remaining watermelon lime mint juice.
The juices were really delicious. The green and fruit juices are clean and refreshing, but my favorite is the nut milk. I know that sounds ridiculous, but It is so yummy, and it's a big treat at the end of the day. Plus there are pieces of nut, so I got to chew something. It figures that my favorite drink is the one with the fat and protein!
I actually just finished Day 2 which I will write about tomorrow. I will warn, things got a little ugly....
