After my mom lived with us for 5 months during her liver transplant, this book touched a note with me. I LOVED it! There are a number of poignant passages about women and friendships (I'm always a sucker for that stuff!) and Corrigan does a beautiful job telling about the frustration of raising two toddlers while she suffers through chemotherapy for her breast cancer. I wish Corrigan lived down the street from me, so she could be in my dear circle of friends.......and after reading her book, I felt a bit that she does. Another kid/parent friendly choice was Tuck Everlasting.
