I used to be a voracious reader, but now it seems like with work, kids and now my resurrected blog, if I read 10 pages at night I'm asleep. It's so pathetic and frankly a little depressing because I no longer have the energy to stay awake and read for hours on end. When you see the list of books I've recently read you might say "Felice, if you can't read at night, how did you finish so many books?" That's easy, I spent a lot of February hanging out at a hospital, spent time in March on some planes and took about 4 flights in July.
So here's what's on my nightstand...
What I want to read:
The Red Book - Four Harvard roommates get together for their 20th reunion. Kind of like "The Big Chill."

Unorthodox; The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots - As a reform liberal jew, I am interested in something so foreign to me even though we are technically the same religion.

Animal Vegetable Miracle -I love Barbara Kingsolver and am always interested in reading about people who tackle the food system. Kingsolver and her family spent a year only getting their food if they grew it or if it came from their neighborhood.

Life and Times of the Tunderbolt Kid - Bill Bryson + memoir...need I say more?
Books I have recently read or am reading:
Wisdom of Menopause - yeah, that's right. 'nuff said.
50 Shades of Grey - don't get me started; not a fan. Even my kids asked me why I was reading mommy porn.
The 19th Wife - still reading it and liking it.
Zeitoun - loved this book, but was really sad to read about Zeitoun's recent problems. (google it if you're interested)
Hot House - intriguing story about a woman and 9 powerful, sexy and mystical plants.
Alice Waters and Chez Panisse - I never get bored of reading books about chefs, food and restaurants.

My nightstand? Is a mess. But do you mind if I copy this idea for a new post? Of course I’d link to/credit you!!
What is wrong with me, i LOVED 50 Shades of Grey!!
Hi Kathy – nothing is wrong with you. More people loved it than hated it. For me, I could barely get through it without wanting to take that girl and smack her upside the head.
